Ilikuwa ni jumamosi ya kwanza katika mwaka huu 2013, tulijumuika pamoja na washiriki wa kanisa la waadventista wa sabato amboni katika kumshukuru Mungu kwa ulinzi wake kwa mwaka mzima 2012. Tulishirikiana katika ibada tangu shule ya sabato hadi huduma kuu.
Kwaya nzuri ya thisdaso alishiriki vyema katika kumtukuza Mungu wa mbinguni ikishirikiana kwa moyo wote na kwaya wenyeji wa kanisa la Amboni.
Siku hii ilikuwa maalum kwa kufunga na kuomba kwa ajili ya shukrani kwa mwenyezi Mungu na kumualika kutembea pamoja nasi na kutupatia roho wake mtakatifu ili atuongoze katika safari yetu kuelekea mbinguni, kwa sababu kwa hakika bila Roho wa Mungu ndani yetu hatutafanikiwa.
Tulishiriki mibaraka pamoja na wenyeji kuanzia asubuhi hadi saa11:00 jioni tukiwa pale kanisani.

What is THISDASO?
THISDASO is a Christian organization that is under Seventh day Adventist
church of Tanzania for students in higher learning institutions such
as colleges and universities.(Tanzania Higher Learning Institutions
Seventh-Day Adventist Students’ Organization)
History
Generally, The organization in our country was established since early 70’s by the name of the
THISDASAO (Tanzania Higher learning Institutions Seventh-Day Adventist
Students and Associates Organization), then in early 1990’s the name was
changed to THISDASO in the sense that graduates should not be default
members of the Organization but will be identified and referred to as
Associate members.
Here in our brach (ECKERNFORDE TANGA UNIVERSITY) it was established since 2011 and it is still working up to date
Membership
Members are all the Adventist College or University students undertaking
a course of not less than 2-year duration for the undergraduates. The
students who have graduated are still embraced as Associate members to
advice; provide help and directions in the virtue of their experience
and knowledge.
But also we invite our fellow friends who are not seventh day Adventists to join us in our organisation.
MISSION:
To proclaim the gospel among the students and the community around to prepare them for the second coming of Jesus Christ.
VISION:
The organization seeks to promote and encourage Christian values in
our campuses to cultivate spiritual, mental, physical and social
wellbeing and to fulfill the great mission of evangelism in such
campuses and to the entire world.
